The Twilight Saga

If you have not seen, heard of, read, or at least acknowledged, the presence of the Twilight Saga, you must have been living in a cave for the past year.  The Twilight Saga includes Twilight, Eclipse, New Moon, and Breaking Dawn.  I was introduced to Stephenie Meyer and her work through students at Durango High School.  I kept seeing the book in students' hands; what was so amazing that they all wanted to read it OUTSIDE of assigned readings? After I noticed it that first time, I saw it everywhere: on a prof.'s desk, in a Mom's hand on the soccer field, on my friends bookshelf.  Now it's on my bookshelf- all four of them. I think the lure of these books is grounded in the amazing characters and their relationships.  Meyer has developed characters who are well-rounded, incredibly interesting, yet still flawed.  The Twilight Saga is also slated to be made into movies. The first book, Twilight, came out in theaters recently. I saw the first installment of the series over Christmas break. Save your money and read the books; they are much better.
